Exam Pattern

The CSEB written examination consists of 100 questions carrying 1 mark each (total 100 marks).

• For each bank/society in the eligible list, candidates get a maximum of 20 marks allocated for the interview stage
• To qualify for the interview, a candidate must score a minimum of 4 marks in the written exam (out of the 20 marks allocated per institution)
• The actual interview cutoff is 16 marks out of 20

Exam Mode:

• Posts 15, 16, 20, 21: Online (Computer-Based) Examination
• Posts 17, 18, 19: OMR-Based (Offline) Examination

Exam Fee

All candidates must pay the examination fee along with 18% GST as per Government Order (S.O.(MS) No.17/2024/Co-op dated 13/08/2024).

2. New candidates: Complete One Time Registration (OTR) first. You can apply only after completing OTR.

6. Pay the examination fee online (with 18% GST).
7. Submit the application and print a copy from the “My Application” section.

What Is CSEB Kerala? – Understanding the Recruitment Process

The Cooperative Service Examination Board (CSEB), Kerala, is the state body that conducts recruitment examinations for vacancies in Kerala’s cooperative banks and societies. Unlike PSC (Public Service Commission) which recruits for government departments, CSEB specifically handles the cooperative sector.

The recruitment process works in two layers:

1. The individual cooperative bank/society conducts the interview from the shortlisted candidates and makes the final appointment

This means that after you clear the written exam, the specific bank where the vacancy exists will call you for an interview. Final appointment is made by that bank – you are an employee of the cooperative bank, not a Kerala Government employee. However, the salary scales, service conditions, and regulations are governed by the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act and rules.
