Educational Qualification (Essential)

• At least First Division Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Equivalent acceptable subjects: Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engg., Electronics & Computer Engg., Electronics & Control Engg., Electronics & Communication Technology, Electronics & Communication Engg. (Industry Integrated), Electronics & Communication System Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg. (Microwaves), Electronics & Communication Engg. (Sandwich), Electronics & Communication Engg. (Radio & System), Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., Electronics & Tele-Communication Engg., Electronics & Tele-Communication Technology (Electronic Radio), Electronics & Telematics Engg., Industrial Electronics Engg., Tele Communication Engg., Telecommunication & Information Tech, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., Electronics & Electrical Communication Engg., Electrical with Communication Engg., Radio Physics & Electronics, Electrical Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg. Experience (Essential)

• Minimum 11 Years’ of experience in Research or Design or Development in the field of Digital communication and engineering.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge in ground and space-based communication systems and navigation.
• Knowledge in RTL Design and verification.
• Knowledge in handling test and measurement equipments like signal Generators, spectrum analysis and Network analysis.
• Post Doctoral / Doctorate Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field.
• Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese.
• Three years’ experience in Research and Development Management to manage and coordinate science & technology related activities in the area of Project Management or Material Management or Organisational Development.

Age Limit

• Relaxation in upper age limit (as per Govt. rules):
  • Upto 10 years for Divyang/PwD candidates.
  • Upto 5 years for serving Civilian Central Govt. Employees with at least three years of continuous service.
  • Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years including any of the age relaxation mentioned above.

Selection Process

The selection process for DRDO RAC Scientist ‘E’ involves multiple stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the information provided in their online applications.
2. Administrative Screening: Verification of identity, age, essential & higher qualifications, suitable experience, and CCA Declaration.
3. Technical Screening (Level-1): Based on the relevance of suitable experience, desirable/higher qualification, or other criteria suggested by the Technical Screening Committee.
4. Preliminary Online Interview (Technical Screening Level-2): A short duration (10-15 minutes) online interview may be conducted if a large number of candidates are shortlisted after Level-1.
5. Final Personal Interview: In-person interview before the Selection Board at RAC, Delhi. Final selection will be purely based on the merit of marks scored in this interview (minimum 75% marks required).

5. Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- is applicable for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates, payable online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/Divyang and Women candidates.
6. Multiple Applications: Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post.
