BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Vacancy Details

A total of 5000 training seats have been announced for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. These are distributed State/UT-wise across SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR categories with horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The number of training seats is provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date (01-05-2026). Candidates must be registered on Government Apprenticeship Portals (NATS and/or NAPS) before applying. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Registration Requirement Candidates must be registered on NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and/or NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) before applying.
Educational Qualification Graduation Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government. For NATS candidates: date of passing Graduation should not be more than 4 years preceding 01-05-2026.
Prior Apprenticeship Candidate should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship with Bank of Baroda or any other Establishment in the past, and should not currently be pursuing Apprenticeship Training with any Establishment.
Training / Job Experience Candidates who had training or job experience for a period of 1 year or more after completing educational qualification shall NOT be eligible.
State/UT Application Candidates can apply for engagement as apprentice in one State/UT only and must select up to 3 preferred training locations/centres from those notified within that State/UT.
Nationality Indian Citizens only.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years and maximum of 28 years of age as on the cut-off date (01-05-2026). Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for reserved categories, subject to the condition that NAPS-registered candidates should be below 34 years as on 01-05-2026.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay non-refundable Application/Intimation/Examination Charges/Fees to BFSI SSC through the secure payment link provided in the application form. The fee must be paid through ONLINE mode only. No other mode of payment will be accepted. Fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection for engagement of apprentices will be based on three stages – Online Examination, Document Verification, and Test of local language of the State. Candidates must qualify all three stages. Final selection is subject to medical fitness as per the Bank’s requirements. A State-wise and Category-wise Wait List will be published for vacancies arising from non-acceptance or non-reporting by selected candidates; this wait list remains valid for 1 year from result declaration or until the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.

There will be NO negative marks for wrong answers. The online examination will be remotely proctored – candidates can appear from any location of their choice using a smart mobile phone / laptop / desktop / tablet with an operational front camera, microphone, and stable Wi-Fi internet connection. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates get 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks on aggregate. Merit list will be drawn State-wise and Category-wise in descending order of aggregate marks. Tie-break: higher age is preferred.

Stage 2 – Document Verification

Candidates qualifying the online examination will be called for Document Verification at a Bank-designated centre of the State/UT applied for, at their own expense. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse travelling expenses for Document Verification.

Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet having studied the specified local language of the State/UT will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates who fail to qualify the local language test will not be eligible for engagement as apprentice.

How to Apply for Bank of Baroda Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Applications must be submitted online only. No other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates must first mandatorily register themselves on the Government Apprenticeship portals – NATS (https://nats.education.gov.in) and/or NAPS (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

After completing registration on NAPS/NATS, eligible candidates will receive an email from [email protected] inviting them to fill the final “Application cum Examination Form” and make payment of the applicable fee/charges.

The application registration is considered complete only when fee/charges are deposited with BFSI SSC. Candidates must note down their Enrolment Id (NATS portal) and Apprentice Registration Code (NAPS portal) for all future correspondence.

  • Colour scan copy of Aadhaar Card – Front & Back Page (JPEG, <1 MB)
  • Colour scan copy of PAN Card (JPEG, <1 MB)

  • Valid system generated printout of the online application / Registration / Enrollment form
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate from Competent Municipal Authority or SSLC / Std. X Certificate with DOB)
  • Photo Identity Proof (Government-issued ID)
  • Individual Semester/Year-wise Marksheets and Certificates for educational qualifications including final degree/diploma certificate
  • CGPA to Percentage conversion certificate (if grades awarded), issued by the appropriate authority
  • Disability Certificate in prescribed format issued by District Medical Board (for PwBD candidates)
  • Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility

Documents to be produced at the venue of Document Verification / Language Test. Non-submission of requisite documents will debar candidature from further participation in the selection process. Candidates must appear at their own expense.

Important Instructions for Bank of Baroda Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Candidates

  • This is NOT regular employment or contract employment in the Bank. Apprentices will be TRAINEES only and not employees of Bank of Baroda.
  • The apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training. Bank of Baroda has no obligation to offer regular employment to apprentices during or after the apprenticeship period.
  • Candidates can apply for engagement as apprentice in one State/UT only. Allotment to a different State/UT will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Candidates must first register on NATS and/or NAPS portals before applying; application without portal registration is not valid.
  • The process of registration is complete only when applicable fee/charges are deposited with BFSI SSC.
  • No Ex-servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen shall be engaged as an apprentice; there is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in this engagement.
  • OBC candidates belonging to the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation; they should apply as General / General (OC/HI/VI/ID) as applicable.
  • Change of category once submitted in the online application will not be permitted at any stage.
  • Candidates should submit only one application; in case of multiple submissions, only the last valid completed application will be considered and fee paid for earlier registrations will be forfeited.
  • The Apprentices are prohibited from joining / forming any Union Body.
  • All correspondence will be made only on the registered email ID; candidates should keep it active throughout the recruitment process. No hard copy intimation will be sent by post for Online Examination.
  • Candidates must appear for the selection process (Document Verification, Language Test) at their own cost; Bank will not reimburse travelling expenses.
  • Apprentices will not be provided with Transport / Hostel facility or any other residential accommodation during training.
  • Stipend of Rs. 15,000/- per month will be paid on completion of each month after adjusting Loss of Pay, if any. No other allowances/benefits are payable.
  • All amendments/corrigendum (if any) will be published only on the Bank’s website (https://bankofbaroda.bank.in/) and https://bfsissc.com – candidates should visit regularly.
  • Any canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify the candidature. Use of unfair means, impersonation, or misbehavior will lead to disqualification and/or debarment.
  • Legal jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be Mumbai only.
