Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. (TMB), a leading private sector bank, is inviting applications from dynamic and result-oriented individuals for the post of Agricultural Officer. Candidates possessing a Degree in Agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks and specializations in Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized university are eligible. Roles & Responsibilities

• Encouraging adoption of modern agricultural practices and technologies through financial incentives.
• Educating farmers about subsidies, grants and support programs available to them.
• Assessing the eligibility of farmers and agri business for various agricultural loans like crop loans, equipment loans, Kissan Credit Cards, etc.
• Evaluating risks associated with agricultural loans by assessing crop patterns, weather conditions and soil quality.
• Organizing awareness programs for farmers to educate them about banking services and agricultural advancements.
• Acting as a liaison between the bank and the rural community to understand their needs.
• Familiarity with government schemes, NABARD guidelines and RBI norms.
• Any other duties assigned by the Bank from time to time.

Procedure of Selection

The shortlisted candidates should appear for an interview. They will be called for personal interview through Direct / Video Conferencing. The mode of interview, date and time will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually.

1. The eligible candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID and Contact number, which should be kept active till completion of this recruitment project.
2. Candidates are requested to log on to the Bank’s website (www.ib.tmbonline.bank.in/tmb_careers/). Click “Apply Online” and register themselves for the appropriate post.
3. On successful registration, an activation link will be sent to the registered E-mail ID and the Registration Number and Password will be sent to the registered mobile number. Candidates must note this Unique Registration Number and Password for future reference.
4. Click the activation link sent to the registered E-mail ID, which will direct to the Careers portal.
5. Login with the Application number (Registration Number/Username) and password.
6. Fill all details in the online application carefully, click “Save/ Continue” on every page.
7. Upload photograph (390 X 520 pixels, max 120 KB) and signature (240 X 240 pixels, max 60 KB). Signature in Capital letters is NOT accepted.
8. Upload self-attested photocopies of SSLC or Higher Secondary Mark Sheet/Transfer Certificate (age proof), Degree Certificate/s, Experience certificate/s, Relieving Letter, and Last Month Salary Slip (max 250 KB each).
9. On successful submission, click confirm/submit. A copy of the system generated online application form will be sent to the registered Email ID, and candidates should take a printout for future reference.
