Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme – Jan 2027 Course

The Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried men and women for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the Course Commencing – Jan 2027. This recruitment offers 60 vacancies for candidates who have passed their 10+2 with PCM and English, and appeared for JEE (Main) – 2026. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Conditions

• Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
• JEE (Main) – 2026: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2026 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026.
• Age Limit: Born between 02 Jul 2007 and 01 Jan 2010 (both dates inclusive).
• Marital Status: Unmarried men and women.
• Medical Standards: All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B Tech) entry. Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Selection Procedure

1. Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026.
2. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bengaluru/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Sep 2026 onwards.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS.
4. Common Merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
5. Appointment is subject to Police Verification and Character Verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.

Training

• Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding (only for selected 07 candidates from Mechanical Engineering) as per Naval requirements.
• On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
• The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.

How to Apply

Candidates are to register and submit their application on the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. The procedure for applying online is explained below:

1. Fill in correct personal particulars details as given in the Matriculation Certificate/12th class certificate.
2. Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.
3. Scan and attach all relevant documents (preferably in original), Date of Birth proof (as per 10th/12th certificates), 10th class marksheet, 12th class marksheet, JEE(Main)-2026 Score card (indicating Common Rank List (CRL)) and a recent passport size colour photograph in original JPG/TIFF format.
4. Candidates are to take print out of application and carry it along with original certificates/documents while appearing for SSB interview.
5. If any scanned document is not legible/ readable for any reason the application will be rejected.
6. The application once submitted will be final and no request for amendments/change will be entertained.
