Vacancy Details

A total of 404 vacancies are available for Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota. The vacancies are distributed across various sports disciplines and events for both Men and Women. Pay Scale

The post of Constable (General Duty) will carry Pay Matrix Rs.21700-69100/- (Level-3) as per 7th CPC and other allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions. Selected candidates will be governed under the Contribution Pension Scheme (New Pension Scheme).

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or institute.

Sports Qualification

• A state or the country in National or International competitions. OR
• Medal winners in Senior / Junior National Championships. OR
• Medal winners in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years); or Khelo India Winter Games or Khelo India Para Games. OR
• Medal winners in Khelo India University Games. OR
• Medal winners in School Games Federation of India (SGFI). OR
• Their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards. OR
• State School Teams in the National Sports/Games for School conducted by the all India School Games Federations.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be between 18 to 23 years of age.

Age Relaxation

Upper age limit is relaxable as follows:

• Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes: 5 years
• Other Backward Classes: 3 years
• Government servant and Ex-servicemen: As per Central Government orders.
• Candidates domiciled in J&K (1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989): 5 years (UR), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST)
• Children and dependent of victims killed in 1984 riots: 5 years (UR), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST)

Application Fee

• Unreserved, EWS and OBC category candidates are required to pay Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) through online mode.
• SC/ ST & Female candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in two stages:

Stage-I (For candidates with International participation/medal winners and National medal winner’s upto 3rd place)

1. Documentation: Verification of all original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sports achievements, etc.
2. Checking of Sports Achievements: Field trial/skill test may be exempted for International participants or State/UT level National Championship medal winners (up to 3rd place). Marks will be awarded based on sports achievements (e.g., Gold Medal: 30 Marks for International, 25 Marks for National).

Stage-II (For other eligible candidates, if vacancies remain unfilled)

This stage will be conducted if vacancies remain unfilled after Stage-I. It will involve similar documentation and sports achievement checks.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates declared qualified in documentation/sports achievements will undergo PST:

Weight: Normal BMI range 18-25. Candidates with BMI below 18 & above 25 will be rejected.

Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME)

Candidates will undergo DME as per Revised Medical Guidelines. Unfit candidates may apply for RME. Final selection will be based on merit after RME completion.
