The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has announced a recruitment drive for Para Medical Staff, specifically for Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posts in 2026. Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed in the Pay Level-5 in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC, with a salary range of Rs.29,200 – 92,300/-, plus usual and admissible allowances as applicable to Central Government employees from time to time. They will be governed under CISF Act and Rules and entitled to pensionary benefits as per the National Pension System (NPS).

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit (as on 07/07/2026)

  • For Direct Candidates (ASI Pharmacist, X-Ray Technician, Lab Technician): Between 18 to 28 Years.
  • Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government orders.
  • Departmental Candidates of Central Government: 40 years for General, EWS, and OBC candidates; 45 years for SC/ST candidates, provided they have rendered minimum 3 years continuous service.

Educational Qualification (as on 07/07/2026)

  1. Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board or University.
  2. 02 years Diploma in Radiography from an institution recognized by Central or State Government.
ASI (Lab Technician)
  1. Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board or University with Science.
  2. 02 years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an institution recognized by any Central or State Government.

NOTE: Educational certificates other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied by Government of India notification declaring equivalence.

Medical Standards

  • Candidates will undergo medical examination as per Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and ARs.
  • Weight must be proportionate to height and age.
  • Candidates must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes, and must be in good mental and bodily health.
  • Tattoos: Permitted if depicting religious symbols/figures/names as followed in Indian Army, located on traditional sites (inner aspect of forearm, non-saluting limb, or dorsum of hands), and size less than ¼ of the particular part.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:

  1. Written Examination: OMR/CBT mode, bilingual (Hindi & English), objective multiple-choice questions, 100 marks, 2-hour duration, no negative marking.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Screening for height, chest, and weight.
  3. Documentation: Verification of original testimonials/documents.
  4. Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT): Qualifying in nature, to assess suitability for the job.
  5. Medical Examination (DME/RME): Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination to assess physical and medical fitness.
